Koray Peksayar -+- koray@netbulans.com -+- Hi,
I have a minor problem loading the software to the AVR. The program loading works very seldom. I mean when I connect the board to the parallel port and make load the script often tells that the AVR is not found. Seldomly, it finds the AVR, tries to load the software but tells that verification can't be done.

What am I missing here ? Did I do something wrong on the board or is it a problem with usip ? I'm using the latest version of uisp by the way.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

You were careful to tell us to be sure of the power supply lines for the LCD. By using a diode, you can use it to block the power if the polarity is wrong. For example: put a diode so it is forward biased in the +5 volt line (+ on diode to + on power supply line). If someone hooks the lines wrong, the diode will NOT conduct, saving the circuits! This method does introduce a diode drop of about 0.5 to 0.7 volts, so you might want to adjust your supplies to make up the difference.
BTW... god_tiamat is my alter ego when I am gaming. I'm not a real god :)
