3.4. Contextual menus
Depending of the type of the selected items, the mouse button 3 opens
a contextual menu.
These menus are highly configurable, see section 8 for more
informations about customizing them.
Suppose you pressed the mouse button 3 when :
1) the selection is empty or outside a file list :
The No selection contextual menu is used, with these default entries :
- Create file (same as File/Create, section 4)
- Select all files (same as Selection/Select All, section 3.2.1)
- Filter select (same as Selection/Filter Select, section 3.2.1)
2) the selection is empty, inside a file list, over a directory item
or if the selection only contains a single directory
The Directory menu is used, with the following default entries :
- Cd : go to the directory
- Cd New Window : open a new window, using these directory
- Home Dir : go to the home directory
- Goto Dir : use the Goto dir dialog box (see section 7)
- Informations : informations about the directory (see section 4)
- Delete : delete the directory (don't forget to select recurse subdirecories option)
NOTE : The directory will be selected automatically
3) the selection is empty, inside a file list, over a standard file
or if the selection only contains a single standard file
The File menu is used, with the following default entries :
- View : same as File/View (section 4)
- Edit : same as File/Edit (section 4)
- Informations : same as File/Informations (section 4)
- Rename : same as File/Rename (section 4)
- Delete : same as File/Delete (section 4)
- Execute : same as File/Exec (section 4)
NOTE : The file will be selected automatically
4) the selection is empty, inside a file list, over a special file
The Other file menu is used, with the following default entry :
- Informations : same as File/Informations (section 4)
NOTE : The file will be selected automatically
5) the selection contains more than one file, in a file list :
The Selection menu is used, with the following default entries :
- Copy : Same as File/Copy (section 4)
- Move : Same as File/Move (section 4)
- Delete : Same as File/Delete (section 4)
- Tar archive : Same as Archive/Tar (section 5)
